Sometimes the brain misenterprets thirst for hunger. So, before you eat cookie dough right out of the package try my "craving waiving". When you get a craving, try
drinking an 8 oz. glass of water followed by a healthy snack like yogurt which is fortified with calcium, low-fat, high protein, and contains the amino acid tryptophan. Glass of water

Doing this over 15 minutes (the maximum amount of time a craving lasts) will create a sense of fullness so you will more than likely steer clear of the craving. Even if you do indulge, you will more than likely eat less because you have taken the steps to make a healthy choice first.
