I have a very simplistic philosophy that exercise is a way of life. Making the time to go to the gym and workout or doing exercise from home is a fantastic way to keep fit. Many Americans have the issue of time, so I will often instruct my clients to do certain activities, like cleaning, in a way that will make it a calorie burning workout. This is to emphasize that physical activity is a lifestyle, and the more energy you put into something the more you will get out of it. Soon these people begin to crave activity and make the time to challenge themselves to a scheduled, structured workout.
